Søren Ulrik Petersen 1961 -


Trained as a cabinet maker in the work shop of Hos Wulff’s Møbelsnedkeri, Copenhagen completing his apprenticeship in 1985 prior to continuing his education at the Danish Design School.

Gaining his degree in Design 1990, Søren Ulrik Petersen returned to teach for a year at the Design School in 1998.


Since opening his own design studio in 1991 SUP Design has completed freelance projects for amongst others:

Design Center

Bo Bedre’s Furniture Prize 2000

2001.
First Prize in the "picnic competition" organized by Danish Arts Foundtion,
Trapholt Museum and Danish Design Center.

Since 2001 Søren Ulrik Petersen has been Chairman of the influential Danish SE Group founded in 1980.
