These upholstered chairs can be linked in rows of three, four or five by passing a wooden rail through each chair just below each seat.
The rail is fixed in place at the end of each run with a peg which holds the chairs firmly together.
The rails can be locked together forming rows of six, seve, ten etc by using a metal plate which fits onto each rail then slides into place and held securely in position.
This method of linking chairs together is extremely strong and chairs can in fact be stacked in rows still linked to each other as the rail is supported throughout its entire length.
A metal book holder can be paced between each chair.
